Madden Media is pleased to announce our latest native mobile applications, now available for travelers. These applications give users powerful tools to explore new areas and puts information right at their fingertips, helping them make key travel decisions on the go.

Annapolis Walking Tour - Steps Through Time
Our first truly "experiential" application, this app improves travelers’ experiences around the iconic landmarks, museums, and historic sites found in Annapolis. Users can easily plan routes to traverse more than 30 key locations and receive detailed turn-by-turn directions to stay on track. Highlights of this intuitive program also include detailed attraction descriptions, interactive links to boat and trolley tours, and information on nearby visitor centers. Integration with major social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare, allows travelers to share their experiences in real-time.Download the app here:

Lake of the Ozarks — Funlake
This app takes the traditional listings app format to the next level. Exciting and new offerings include Ozarks weather updates, social media links, and "Close to Me" functionality for the many attractions, restaurants, and lodging properties throughout the lakes region. Several Staffers Move Up
In an effort to continue evolving our products and services and acknowledge staff leadership, we have made several strategic shifts in our management structure:
- Grady Colson is now a partner and retains his existing duties as Chief Operations Officer.
- Don Scheer is promoted from Creative Director to Vice President of Creative Services. He and Editorial Director Jeff Atwell are leading Madden Media's advances in cross-platform content integration.
- Brett Gordon is promoted to Vice President of Strategy and Innovation. He joins Howard Tietjen, now Senior Vice President of Research and Strategy, in a united focus on product development.
- Addy Coleman, now Director of eMedia, and Director of Development Carl Cox have assumed expanded leadership roles in online production and information technology.

Professors and leading content marketing professionals judge the awards based on informational and entertainment value, quality of writing and display copy, creative use of imagery and typography, and consistency of color palette and style.
Madden Media's editorial and design team worked with the Kansas City Convention & Visitors Association to craft a publication that faithfully conveys the city's unique personality. Inclusion of user-generated content, edgy photos and features, and newsstand-style cover lines are just a few of the elements that ensure this travel guide reads like a lifestyle magazine and effectively engages modern travelers.

Kentucky and Pennsylvania Campaigns Win Online Advertising Awards
Two of Madden Media's cooperative rich media banner campaigns were recognized with wins in the 2011 Internet Advertising Competition (IAC), conducted by the Web Marketing Association.
A 2010 fall co-op executed with Pennsylvania tourism organizations won the single ad award in the travel category. View the winning creative.
Kentucky Department of Travel partnered with Madden Media on a fall 2010 co-op that was chosen first as winner of rich media campaigns in the travel category. Then the campaign went on to win best of show for all rich media campaigns submitted across 86 categories. View the winning creative.
The IAC Awards are the first and only industry-based advertising award competition dedicated exclusively to online advertising. The Competition website with a complete list of winners is located at www.IACAward.org.
Madden Media served as the creative agency for both campaigns, as well as handling co-op sales and service, media placements, and optimization. Both efforts also beat travel industry benchmarks for online advertising performance.
