Madden Media and Visit KC Receive Content Marketing Award
A tablet application developed by Madden Media to accompany the Kansas City Official Visitors Guide received an Honorable Mention at the 2014 Content Marketing Awards, making it the only visitors guide to be recognized by the Content Marketing Institute.TUCSON, AZ - Madden Media, a national destination marketing company, announced that Visit KC was recently named a recipient of a 2014 Content Marketing Award for its tablet-based visitors guide. Presented by the Content Marketing Institute, the Content Marketing Awards is the largest awards program in North America for people who create content for organizations. The awards recognize excellence in all elements of communication, from strategic to aesthetic.
Selected out of more than 1,100 entries, the Visit KC iPad® application received an Honorable Mention under the “Best Tablet-Based Magazine” category. It features slideshows, interactive maps and links to web-exclusive content to encourage audience engagement.

They will receive the award on February 24, 2014 at the 57th annual Adrian Awards, the largest and most prestigious global travel marketing competition, during the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Annual Gala Awards at the New York City Marriot Marquis.
Madden Media won the Gold award for Integrated Digital Marketing, besting 1,200 entries from around the world. The awards were judged by top executives from all sectors of the industry. Visit Cheyenne's integrated campaign is a full-spectrum program which, for the past two years, has successfully promoted Cheyenne's Frontier Days. The campaign uses a multi-faceted approach to garner leads, increase website traffic, generate Facebook fans and extend overall branding. The combination of compelling creative with industry-leading marketing techniques continues to deliver outstanding results.

Madden Media acquires industry leader Custom Marketing Group (CMG) to form largest cooperative marketing company in the United States for travel destinations
Tucson-based Madden Media, a leader in tourism marketing and publishing nationwide, has acquired Atlanta-based Custom Marketing Group (CMG), a leader in custom marketing programs for destinations. The combined organizations represent by far the largest cooperative marketing company in the United States focused on promoting travel to destinations.
"We are marrying the expertise and talents of two great companies, both respected nationally for successful destination marketing programs across the United States," said Kevin Madden, founder and CEO of Madden Media.

The Missouri Tourism Commission and Missouri Division of Tourism has awarded Madden Media the 2012 Navigator Media Award for our highly successful search engine marketing cooperative program. This award goes to the media outlet that managed to turn the spotlight on Missouri tourism and the importance tourism plays in the state's economy. Bureau awards major contract to Tucson-based
The Sedona Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau (SCCTB) has announced that Madden Media, a Tucson-based media company, has been awarded the contract to produce SCCTB's 2013 Experience Sedona Guide (ESG) plus the 2013 Sedona Chamber of Commerce's Membership Directory, 2013 Meeting Planners Guide and various online projects. Madden was selected through a competitive bid process open to companies nationwide. Madden Media employs 81 Arizona workers in Phoenix and Tucson.
The ESG is written and designed to be the leading resource for visitors planning to travel to Sedona, Arizona. The magazine-styled guide offers abundant information on a wide variety of Sedona travel experiences such as hotel accommodations, spas, outdoor adventure opportunities, top events and much more. The ESG also gives insight into Sedona's vibrant culture and rich heritage.
"We produce 250,000 ESGs every year. This critical fulfillment piece communicates all that there is to see and do in our beautiful destination, and promotes this message to potential visitors, travel trade industry professionals and the media. Several Staffers Move Up
In an effort to continue evolving our products and services and acknowledge staff leadership, we have made several strategic shifts in our management structure:

Kentucky and Pennsylvania Campaigns Win Online Advertising Awards
Two of Madden Media's cooperative rich media banner campaigns were recognized with wins in the 2011 Internet Advertising Competition (IAC), conducted by the Web Marketing Association.
A 2010 fall co-op executed with Pennsylvania tourism organizations won the single ad award in the travel category. View the winning creative.
Kentucky Department of Travel partnered with Madden Media on a fall 2010 co-op that was chosen first as winner of rich media campaigns in the travel category. Then the campaign went on to win best of show for all rich media campaigns submitted across 86 categories. View the winning creative.
The IAC Awards are the first and only industry-based advertising award competition dedicated exclusively to online advertising. The Competition website with a complete list of winners is located at www.IACAward.org.
Madden Media served as the creative agency for both campaigns, as well as handling co-op sales and service, media placements, and optimization. Both efforts also beat travel industry benchmarks for online advertising performance.
