Company History

Kevin and Jill Madden founded Madden Publishing in Tucson in 1982. Six years previously, Preprint Publishing had begun. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, both companies grew and became well-respected tourism publishers.

As the Internet emerged as an important destination marketing tool, Madden began to design and produce websites and Preprint added online marketing to its newspaper inserts. Madden Publishing established a separate online marketing company that attracted many high-profile clients, including Coty Cosmetics and EA Sports.

In 2003, Madden Publishing acquired Preprint Publishing, and the following year they merged with the online firm to create Madden Media, an integrated print and online company dedicated exclusively to destination marketing.
